Folk Artists

Scott Peppers – Folk Painter

Scott Peppers from Homer, has been a folk art collector since his teens. “I woke up one morning and wanted to paint and have not stopped since!” He developed his own unique folk art style, “polka dots on rusty tin.”  He now paints his roosters, fish, black Americana and lake scene on reclaimed furniture and any other material.  Genuine Georgia is proud to have his art in our neck of the woods!

Jan Whyllson – Folk Painter

Jan Whyllson is Greensboro’s folk artist, known for her whimsical interpretations of historic landscapes and streetscapes of the local communities. Each piece has a historical perspective of the scene attached. “All history was once merely day to day living; for in the course of living, we make of our days, tomorrow’s history.”
