Margaret Caudle

Margaret began her interest in art as a young girl. She is a self-taught artist, dabbling in pastels, charcoal, oil, acrylics, quilting, basketry, pottery and murals. She began the study of watercolors in 2002 and launched her journey of experiments, disasters and successes. Margaret is a freelance artist and enjoys producing watercolors for fun, commission and sale. Her watercolors have been on exhibition and sale a various galleries in the Atlanta Metro area. She has illustrated three children’s books: Santa’s 911 Meeting by Genie Byrd, The Story of Rudolph by Bill Greer, and Mister Grasshopper and The First Day of School by Nancy Ryle. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and her Master of Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. The Smyrna, Georgia native and retired teacher lives in Canton, Georgia with her husband and several pets. Margaret enjoys spending time singing with the Georgia Festival Chorus, Saint Catherine’s Episcopal Church Choir, camping, and with her two sons, their wives, her three grand daughters and two step-grandsons.
