Each year, the heart of Greensboro comes alive with one of its most cherished traditions, the Southland Jubilee. This beloved annual heritage arts festival transforms historic downtown into a vibrant celebration of Southern culture, creativity, and community spirit.

From the moment you arrive, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Stroll through rows of arts and crafts vendors showcasing handmade goods, grab a bite from a variety of delicious food options, and take in the sounds of live music filling the streets. Visitors can admire beautifully restored vehicles at the classic car show, explore agricultural exhibits that honor the region’s roots, and let little ones enjoy the kids’ area. It’s a full day of family-friendly fun wrapped in the charm of springtime in the South.

While you’re exploring all that the Jubilee has to offer, be sure to stop by Genuine Georgia for a truly special experience. Throughout the day, we’ll be hosting live artist demonstrations, offering a unique opportunity to see creativity in action.

Watch as painter Robert Jorns brings his work to life on canvas. Discover the charm and craftsmanship behind Sherry McDonald’s pottery animals, each one full of personality. You can also experience the artistry of Cheryl White, a talented weaver whose work highlights both tradition and creativity. Sample the flavors of Summer Meyer of Over Yonder Farms, who creates her own BBQ sauces, jellies, and seasonings, with tastings that guests absolutely love. And don’t miss Stefon Romero, who will be presenting his Liberty Series of hand-created dolls, just in time to celebrate America’s upcoming 250th birthday. His work offers a meaningful and timely tribute, blending artistry with history in a truly unique way.

These demonstrations give visitors a rare, behind-the-scenes look at each artist’s process and inspiration, making it easy to connect more deeply with the work and the stories behind it.

The Southland Jubilee is more than just an event. It is a celebration of tradition, talent, and the vibrant community that makes Greensboro so special. We’re proud to be part of it and hope you’ll join us for a day filled with creativity, connection, and Southern charm.
